As any chemical substance, due to its intrinsic properties, legislation regulates the safe production and use of antimony substances.  Although legislation varies around the globe, it generally boils down to preventing excessive inhalation to and environmental releases of antimony.  Most of existing legislation is based on the evidence available before the years 2000.  It can be expected that the new evidence generated after that period, will trigger updates of this existing legislation.  Key examples of this are provided here.

Any responsible and compliant producer and user of antimony substances should therefore abide by the rules set in various workplace, product, waste and environmental legislations.
